The researchers found that a high intake of vitamin D, which is produced by the skin, could be effective in preventing heart attacks and strokes.
In a recent review of scientific evidence, the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, published by the American Heart Association, said that the vitamin D supplement was the most effective preventative measure against cardiovascular disease.
This study is an important step forward because it confirms that vitamin E is a key factor for reducing heart attack risk and strokes, the researchers wrote.
